Against Love, the dragon warreth not long....

A village had been terrorized by a monster.
The villagers called the brave knights from far and wide to come to defeat the evil and to bring peace back to them.

One by one the knights came to defeat the ugly thing, but one by one were devoured by it.

Then a little knight arrived! When the monster approached him, instead of drawing his sword the little knight pulled out a mirror and as he held it before the fearful grimace of the beast, seeing it’s own terror the monster fell to the ground --- its ugliness
had made it fall of its own weight!

Thus error or evil is self destroyed!

"If we deny evil, rather than expose it and annihilate it, all that we hold dear in our comfort zones remains constantly under threat and is perishable ..."

As the children of Israel were guided triumphantly through the Red Sea, the dark ebbing and flowing tides of human fear, - as they were led through the wilderness, walking wearily through the great desert of human hopes, and anticipating the promised joy, - so shall the spiritual idea guide all right desires in their passage from sense to Soul, from a material sense of existence to the spiritual, up to the glory prepared for them who love God.

To infinite, ever-present Love, all is Love, and there is no error, no sin, sickness, nor death. Against Love, the dragon warreth not long, for he is killed by the divine Principle. Truth and Love prevail against the dragon because the dragon cannot war with them. Thus endeth the conflict between the flesh and Spirit.

As a drop of water is one with the ocean, a ray of light one with the sun, even so God and man, Father and son, are one in being. The Scripture reads: “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being.

Radiant as sunsets, beautiful as blessings

The eye with which I see God is the same eye with which God sees me. --

One person who has mastered life is better than a thousand persons who have mastered only the contents of books, but no one can get anything out of life without God. (Meister Eckhard)

A radiant sunset, beautiful as blessings when they take their flight, dilates and kindles into rest.  Thus will a life corrected illumine its own atmosphere with spiritual glow and understanding.
The pent-up elements of mortal mind need no terrible detonation to free them (Mary Baker Eddy)

- The outward work will never be puny if the inward work is great.

My tears are flowing
Like a gentle stream
Over cheeks and lips
As I am touched by Your
Gracious Words, and You bid
The inner tumult to cease,
Teaching me, dear God, Your peace.
I in gratitude to You,
O Beloved! I can see
There I was to be
In sadness, and a
Loss of tranquility—
Through a silent prayer
My heart was safe from enmity,
Rising up again to You,
Peace to all, and to him and me -- it sang
Of Your immediacy, and
Will not let me go astray
But fulfills in its silent way:
“Let no vacuum ever there be.”
Your dear love always reaches me
Like the fullness of a morning beam,
I am free of tears, and all shadows flee.

A HEALING!

I was briskly walking in the rain the two miles to the Boston Public Library.  I had to do some research and to look for a certain book.  Arriving, I climbed a flight of cement stairs, when suddenly I tripped and fell.  The pain was so severe I thought I was loosing consciousness—going in and out-- my heart was wildly racing, and I hardly could breathe.  I had to decide whether to go down or to go up the stairs, and to find a seat to sit down.  I went up, but barely made it to the only seat I saw in front of a computer.
I reminded myself that this experience was a problem of a sensation of mind and not of matter. And not just to say it, but to recognize that here was an opportunity to deal with it within my own thoughts, and so to reap its immediate benefit.
In Science and Health it says, “Meet every adverse circumstance as its master” (p. 419). But how could I go about it under the severe influence of pain?  It must have appeared to an onlooker as if I was starring at an empty screen in front of me—but in reality I was looking through it.  I penetrated those mental sensations of feeling guilty about not being more careful, of feeling stupid, and even stunned and hopeless.  “Thine own mouth condemmeth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee” (Job 15:6).  “Wow!” This was a timely reminder! I immediately saw the need not to be foolish enough to practice self-deprecation.  To belittle oneself can never be a path to healing.
God, the “I,” or I am, has no part in it, and does not encourage it in me.
So, I let this spiritual understanding work in me. That is -- I prayed!  Whenever a negative thought popped up to distract me, I effectively silenced it with Truth.  That is, I did not agree with its opposite, or error!  I was very engaged in this restful activity!
Eventually, fear and pain disappeared, and I was able to breathe easier again, and my heartbeat appeared back to normal.  I got up, and slowly walked all the way back home, with a “THANK YOU” in my heart!!!!

“O shooting star—
that fell into my eyes and through my body---
Not to forget you.  To endure.”

Infinite good is the only Friend upon whom we can call at all times,
an all-powerful ever-present help in every time of trouble; !!!!!!

Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
King James Version of the Bible
Job 37:14

If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is “Thank you,” it will be enough. –

What we plant in the soil of contemplation, we shall reap in the harvest of action. Meister Eckhart (1260-1327).

All God wants of man is a peaceful heart.
