The parable of the Good Samaritan
_____________________________ A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead. By chance a certain priest was going down that way. When he saw him, he passed by on the other side. In the same way a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he travelled, came where he was. When he saw him, he was moved with compassion, came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. He set him on his own animal, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, and gave them to the host, and said to him, “Take care of him. In the 16-century there lived a very spiritually-minded woman to whom one day a man of the church confided that he felt inclined to give up mental prayer.  The reply she made showed to what extent she understood the process of thought at the different levels of consciousness: “Take absolutely no notice.  Praise the Lord for the desire you have for prayer, trust that your mind intends it thus and that it likes to be with God.  When you feel the tension is too great, make an effort to go where you can look at the sky, walk for a little, you won't waste your prayer time for that. Managing our weaknesses is an art and it doesn’t do to oppress nature.  All consists in the search for God and the means by which we can draw nearer to Him.  The soul is led onwards by gentleness.”

----------------------------- Should go together.  First the Thanks, and then we’ll recognize how much we have been given … and how much we can give!  Be it love, kindness, and understanding, … or whatever else the immediate need might be.  Perhaps, we need a re-assurance of the qualities of courage, joy, and peace of mind … or an encouragement to tap into our spiritual resourcefulness.  Our spiritual treasures are not hidden but awaiting our partaking. --Eva-Maria--

A client, who calls me for prayer, C. S. treatment, and also for guidance in business matters, shared today the outcome of a situation she has had to deal with as a Travel Agent.


A Muslim man with a Green Card, a professor traveling in our country (the USA), had made hotel reservations with my friend, the Travel Agent. Going out for sightseeing, he left his iPad on the table and put his wallet into the Hotel-safe. On his return he could not find the items and reported them missing to the manager of the hotel. At the same time he called my friend to support the return of these items, especially his green card that was of utmost importance to him.  She called me.  I prayed (and so did she).  The hotel reimbursed him for the lost iPad, but not for the wallet. 

From a metaphysical perspective nothing can really be lost … something can change … or be misplaced … or stolen … or destroyed … but also it can be restored … remembered … and be found!  ALL IS IN MIND.  Perhaps, this spiritual concept is not easy to understand if one has not studied and practiced the law of divine Mind and its Principle … but tangible experiences of meta-physics, confirm the truth found therein. 

The wallet was found on the roof of the hotel by a hotel staff, at a later time when working up there.  All the items that meant so much to the traveler, were untouched, only the money was gone.  When we comprehend the significance of the truth that all is in Mind, then, too, we understand whatever has to return will be in a place where it can be found.

The prelude to a belief of loss is too often a subtle notion of loss that influences us in hidden ways.  It may be disguised as negligence or thoughtlessness, because in some form or shape we have a fear of loss unbeknown to us but entertained by the mortal senses. –Eva-Maria

WE LEAP WITH JOY FOR GOD AND MAN

_________________I have learned early on that joy does not come from without ... that is, from people, even very dear people, loved-ones, it comes from within, as I could see, when their eyes sparkled because of some good they discerned.  Their joy I would take in so deeply that I did not loose sight of the sparkle in their eyes, even so I knew it was more than an outer giving but an inner nurturing of a joy they could feel.

And at times when I walked through a blooming meadow, again I could feel a joy bubbling up, a feeling of belonging right there in the midst of the beauty of that field.  Sometimes I would kneel in the grass and then stretch out in it and looking up into the blue of the sky, reaching beyond my vision higher and higher.  As I would get up and walk to a brook gurgling along with its crystal clear water, there too I could feel the joy swelling in me and seeing the little fish swimming by, looking sideways up, as if to say, ”Why is she here?” Because of joy, I could say! Joy made me step into a shady cool forest, ah … the stillness.  Only a few rays of sunlight sliding by the trees to make the stillness more delightful, joy was here --- and from within me it would brake forth, making me feel as if a deep well was springing up without ever loosing its power to flow outward. 

Joy is the nectar of Love … and thus we leap with peace-generating joy for All of God and His beloved living things and beings, may it be a blade of grass or a singing bird in the bright blue sky. –Eva-Maria <>

You are wrong if you think Joy emanates only or principally from human relationships. God has placed it all around us. It is in everything and anything we might experience. We just have to have the courage to turn against our habitual lifestyle and engage in unconventional living.

My point is that you do not need me or anyone else around to bring this new kind of light in your life. It is simply waiting out there for you to grasp it, and all you have to do is reach for it. The only person you are fighting is yourself and your stubbornness to engage in new circumstances.




Part of the problem with the word 'disabilities' is that it immediately suggests an inability to see or hear or walk or do other things that many of us take for granted. But what of people who can't feel? Or talk about their feelings? Or manage their feelings in constructive ways? What of people who aren't able to form close and strong relationships? And people who cannot find fulfillment in their lives, or those who have lost hope, who live in disappointment and bitterness and find in life no joy, no love? These, it seems to me, are the real disabilities.








 I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy.




According to Vedanta,
there are only two symptoms of enlightenment,
just two indications that a transformation is taking
place within you toward a higher consciousness.
The first symptom is that you stop worrying.
Things don't bother you anymore.
You become light-hearted and full of joy.
The second symptom is that you encounter
more and more meaningful coincidences in your life,
more and more synchronicities.
And this accelerates to the point
where you actually experience the miraculous.
