PATIENCE! – and what about procrastination?

Patience=
staying power
tolerance
persistence
fortitude
serenity

Patience is a marvel of grace! However, for most people it is a waiting for something to happen, something they hope for, something they need.  But that leaves the need in the future.  Is a need not a need in the NOW, not one to wait for to receive in the future?  It would make patience appear as a futile act, and accompanied by uncertainties that come with waiting.  For me the concept of patience means WATCHING.  To be on an alert, to observe how divine love and its supply is active in our lives, to be aware of it and to be tuned-in to it NOW. --Eva-Maria

This one and all the following photos were taken on one of my walks in Boston, Massachusetts -- my home-town…

The general belief of procrastination is the notion of putting something off -- to do what is more enjoyable or even easier at the moment, and to postpone more demanding tasks.  But this is not so in all cases.  Some people love to work under a certain type of pressure, and by putting off a task, they then have to work harder and thus it provides a satisfaction of accomplishments.  However, there is something else for others, for all those conscientious ones --they have an intuitive ability to turn to structural procrastination.  They find ways to help themselves in making important decisions by focusing on some distractions away from the mundane, and to gain in their own pace those innovative ideas which they need at work or in their private life!  Procrastination is a way to listen and watch to find ways to do something important that is not just a routine but creative and insightful -- a way to let divine intelligence, Mind, guide them to find a deeper or more befitting answer to a problem, or to life’s demands. --E-M

For us believing physicists the distinction
between past, present and future is only an illusion, even if a stubborn one.

So many beautiful churches in our city – they stand as a symbol for PATIENCE – watching the sleepy, and spiritually hungry, to enter in…

Patience isn’t
Mourning in the dark
Waiting for light.
It is joy in every moment;
Constant consciousness of right.

Patience is the companion of wisdom

-- St. Augustine

Individuals are consistent who, watching and praying, can run, and not be weary; … walk, and not faint,” who gain good rapidly and hold their position, or attain slowly and yield not to discouragement.

When we wait patiently on God and seek Truth righteously,
He directs our path.

And the Lord shall guide thee continually,
and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat
thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Zion-prayer*

by Patricia R. Allen

Arab, Jew--
Who are you?

Inspiration
gives us grace
to see beyond
mere human face.

Man innocent
in Soul's embrace:
minus matter
minus race.
Unrepressed,
his dignity;
perfect, his
integrity;

Uncensored and
beloved his name.
God's universe
he calls his home:
Mind's kingdom--clear
infinity--
without disputed
boundary.

Where no accuser
trumpets wrong,
but angels sing,
a peaceful song.

Let every eye
discriminate,
accept the real,
abandon hate.

Let God's true love
define all men
at one with Him
and uncondemned.

 Ideas are tangible and real
to immortal consciousness,
and they have the advantage
of being eternal.

Build on a good thought, moment by moment, one step at a time!
Be a constructive builder, using thoughts of high quality,
Without the bridling mass of innuendoes and dislikes,
But use building blocks full of substance, full of strength,
Patterned after love, a love that is not a pretender
But a LOVE that is divine, a love that cannot be fooled,
A love that is not offended, it has the patience of a “lion.”
